While I was still studying in college my first job was at a pizza joint. One of my co-workers was called Amit. An interesting person with an unusual personality. Let us say it's difficult not to notice him. He was bit hirsute and sweaty, with an unpleasant odour that accompanied him all around. I do not know if it was only my perception or the general in the kitchen that he didn't shower enough -- basically, he looked like a too-warm grizzly bear.
So it happened on one warm and sunny day when no one was expecting any anomaly. Another person was stirring the pizza sauce for the infamous Pizza Al Quattro Formaggi in a huge pot over the stove with a wooden spoon. But, it somehow broke while using.
Now, I must warn you that this place was a pretty insane environment to work in, lots of big personalities, lots of temper tantrums, and that's not even including all the normal crap all restaurant workers put up with. So naturally, Amit showed his colourful character and pranced over to the pot and said, ‘Let me take care'. So, he pulled the spoon out with his bare hand, then proceeded to go on stirring the sauce, that was on the stove and God knows how hot, with his BARE ARM. His hairy, sweaty, dirty ARM. I should not but I have to tell you that no one batted an eye. I'm pretty sure lots of customers ingested Amit arm hair and flavour for days. Thankfully not us. But, don't worry, you can taste the infamous Italian Pizza Al Quattro Formaggi without Amit's hair also.
