What is a Grilled Chicken Burger ?

​​A grilled chicken burger can be made with varied items. It can be made by either simply grilling a boneless chicken breast or a chicken thigh, or it can alternatively be made using a patty formed minced chicken. The mince is flavoured with garlic and other optional marinades; some also add an egg or two for binding it. A burger can include several different toppings, usually sliced. The most common toppings would be onions, tomatoes and lettuce. All of this is wrapped inside a toasted bun with a dip like mayonnaise spread into it.

Quick and Easy Grilled Chicken Burger

Who doesn't want a burger, and trust me when I say, they are better when made at home according to your preference. A juicy and flavourful burger, topped with melted cheese and the sliced vegetables of your choice. This simple recipe can be completed in just 15 minutes, with all the ingredients easily available in your refrigerator.

How to make a Grilled Chicken Burger?

1) In a large bowl, add the minced chicken, salt and pepper, garlic and some soy sauce, with an egg and cornflour.

2) Mix it all together and let it marinate for 25 minutes. While that is happening, toast your buns in a hot pan with some oil.

3) In the same hot pan, make some patties with your minced chicken and grill them for 3-4 minutes per side.

4) Add a knob of butter on the patties and flip them. Grill them till they are fully cooked.

5) Add a slice of cheese on all your patties. Sprinkle some water in the pan and cover it to let it steam so that the cheese can melt.

6) Start assembling your burger with mayonnaise on the bottom, followed by mustard, then your grilled burger with some sliced onions and tomatoes, finishing it off with some lettuce.

Expert Tips

1) Do not add too many vegetables to the mince otherwise it won't hold together.

2) Egg and cornflour are necessary ingredients for binding the burger.

3) Butter at the end is optional, but it results in a really moist and juicy burger.
